If you follow ITZSOWEEZEE, you should be aware that we are huge supporters of our Toronto fam beat sampras, routinely featuring his original tracks, remixes, and edits. Since the summer, he has increased his output significantly, dropping remix after remix on SoundCloud, all of which we’ve proudly shared on our website. He’s also been in the studio cooking up some dope material with the Bedroomer clique: a roster that includes some incredibly talented producers like Eytan Tobin, Hudson Alexander, Lum, and Michael Imperial. His track “Cosmic Ocean”, produced in collaboration with Eytan, for Cleveland emcee Atari Jones, remains one of the hottest hidden gems of the year. And for all the heat that he’s shared publicly, visiting his home studio you quickly find out that he’s sitting on an entire archive of unreleased fire. On The Remixes, sampras has completely re-mastered 11 of his recent remixes, giving them a feel that can only be described as lush. As a bonus, he’s also thrown in an exclusive download of a brand new remix to “Temple” by rising Toronto band WILDE. Stream all of the tracks below and get the free download via Bandcamp. We want to congratulate the homie on the release of this project, and look forward to hearing the debut EP that he has in the works. Stay tuned.

Young Scottish production phenom Sam Gellaitry just released his new EP, Escapism, via XL Recordings. On the project, the 18-year-old producer adds five more beautiful tracks to his already-impressive catalogue of beats. What a perfect way to start the week – thanks Sam. Montreal emcee CJ Flemings drops some slick visuals to his bouncy new single, “That Girl”.
Here’s a random thought for the day: there are over 2.5 million people in Toronto – how many of them do you interact with in your daily life? The reason I pose the question is because there are so many interesting people out there in your own city that you may pass by on the street and carry on as if they never existed. That’s one of the reasons I love the internet and running this website. We get so many music submissions from all over the city, the country, and the world, and it lets me know we are doing something that, through music, connects people of all different backgrounds. Now I say all that to say this: I have no idea who Manalang is, but he followed our SoundCloud thirteen hours ago, and he’s from Toronto. His most recent upload is a mix called MOOD, and it is very dope. Perfect music to zone out on a Saturday afternoon like today. And if I wasn’t curious to see who follows us, I would have never got a chance to listen to it. So, next time someone’s in line behind you for a coffee, say hello – you never know, you might meet someone awesome. And if you’re hesitant to be that bold, next time somebody follows you on any social media – explore who they are. Among all the bots (and cam girls), you may make some like-minded and talented new friends.
