“Cascades” is a light-hearted new record by Australian duo High Highs, and serves as the title track to their forthcoming album (available on February 5th, 2016). Stream it below.

Cascades is named after the mountain range in the American Northwest. It’s about a feeling of elation, and the feeling you get when you take in the stature of a mountain range like the Cascades. It’s also slightly nostalgic for the time we were on tour driving up from Salt Lake City into Oregon and into the Cascades themselves. Fog was covering the tops, it was very lush and green but cold. It was also a big moment for us in the writing process where we felt this tune was bigger than us almost.
