Lea Porcelain use some incredible footage of post-WW2 Berlin in their stunning video to “Loose Life”, an ethereal new single from their forthcoming self-titled debut EP (out on Friday, December 4th).
The video features previously unseen and very rare colour footage of post-war Berlin and Potsdam- aerial views of the destroyed capital, collapsed houses and rubble in historic places like the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Pariser Platz, Alexanderplatz and the Fuehrerbunker. This ultra-rare footage comes from unknown sources and was only just recently discovered by German director Konstantin von our Muhlen who allowed the band to make this clip.
The band say of the video “For us this 70-year old footage has a close connection to our world today. These were times when destruction was everywhere, people trying to make a living out of nothing. Nowadays people around us have everything and make nothing of it. Life is not appreciated. Life is not lived.”
