Exactly two weeks ago, Toronto producer Dom Dias let us premiere his stellar remix of “Holdin’ On To Me” by NGHTMRE. Now, as if he was worried people would start calling him lazy, the Sinhalese sensation delivers one of the best remixes of Drake’s reggae-tinged “One Dance” that I’ve heard since the Views track was released earlier this month. Looping the sweet Kyla vocal sample and layering it over a wobbly, tropical, moombahton bassline, Dom transforms the track into a full blown heater – something that should, and will, be played at parties all summer long. I can already picture dance floors erupting into a slow wining groove as soon as the chorus hits. Stream this track below and stop sleeping on Toronto mans like Dom Dias for real.
Views is almost here. Although, personally, I hope neither of these songs are on the album. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy the tracks – I just feel that if both are living on the same project, there may be some concern about a lack of cohesion in the album’s sound. Regardless, enjoy the music below.
Drake broke the internet last night, as he often does, with the release of a scathing new joint called “Summer Sixteen”. Shots fired at Meek, Tory Lanez, and XO. Can’t we all just get along? I guess not. Stream the track below and download via iTunes.
Rihanna and Drake join forces again for a sweet new tropical tune called “Work”. The track is set to be featured on her forthcoming album, ANTI, which should be dropping sometime soon. Stream it above.
