Toronto’s Just John releases his debut EP, Black Beret, a four-track affair that showcases the emcee’s lyrical dexterity and serves as a “4 track audio illustration of his past year, channelling perspectives, hurdles and vibrations.” The eclectic artist covers social and political topics, while keeping you moving with fresh production, nimble raps, and clever wordplay. Shout out to the homies from Bedroomer for continuing to put out music from deserving Toronto talent. Stream the project below and support on the usual streaming services.

This is the latest EP from Austrian producer Mo Vibez. “Dreamers” features five tracks of Mo’s unique style of production. I believe this is his fifth or sixth release but his best one by far. Enjoy the sounds.

To say Dom Dias is one of the hardest working producers in Toronto is an understatement. In 2016 alone, we had the privilege of premiering and posting 10 of his projects, including some stellar originals, remixes, and EPs. On top of his musical output, Dom played some of the biggest electronic music shows in the city alongside heavyweights like Snakehips, Ookay, THUGLI, and more. 2016 has been a hell of a year for the kid, and he is closing it out by letting go of his (–/–/16) Throwaway EP. The release contains six previously unreleased original demos that Dom has been dropping throughout his sets, and vary from hiphop instrumentals to 128 BPM dancehall/baile funk-influenced electronic bangers. The best part about the drop is that it’s absolutely free. So, if you haven’t already become familiar with Dom Dias in 2016, now’s your chance to start 2017 off on the right foot. To Dom, we’d just like to say: may the new year bring you continued growth and success in both your musical and personal endeavours – we’ll be here to support as always!
