Our Bedroomer homie Eytan Tobin is gearing up to release a new EP on January 13th called EMO EDITS, and the first release is an uptempo bit, featuring Edmonton producer GHIBLI, called “You’re A Positive Motivating Force”. The track flips The Isley Brothers’ classic “At Your Best (You Are Love)” into a genre-bending electronic frenzy, while still maintaining enough of the sweet syrup from the original. Stream it below and pre-order the entire project via Bandcamp.

Toronto producer Eytan Tobin is always in the lab cooking up some next level shit. Today, the Bedroomer representative allows us to premiere his new track, “WORKOUT”, which, true to it’s name, will have you sweating all over the dance floor. While a Kanye West bootleg may not seem so extraordinary, Eytan manages to transform the original into an even higher octane heater, with spastic drum work, synths, and air horns (!!!), all colliding into a menagerie of sounds that just seem to work. The release is Eytan’s foray into the eclectic futuristic style that’s being pumped out by UK collective PC Music, and was inspired by tonight’s Bedroomer party featuring London producer, and PC Music’s own, Kane West and Jamie (of Kero Kero Bonito). The event also serves as the afterparty to Kero Kero Bonito’s concert at Drake Underground, so make sure you check that out as well. Information for both shows can be found after you take in the music below (free download also available via Bandcamp).

ITZSOWEEZEE Spotlight Series highlights the incredibly talented DJs and producers that make up the ITZSOWEEZEE ranks, as well as our extended music family. Each month, we deliver a fresh mix that reflects the diverse style and flavour of our crew. This is an opportunity to “meet” our selectors, enjoy some amazing free music, and understand why we command the respect that we do.
The fourteenth edition features Toronto’s own Eytan Tobin, one of our good homies representing Bedroomer and Rare Beef Records. We have to give it up to dude for running a musical marathon, mixing over two hours of wavy goodness. If you’re having an afterparty, this is the only mix you really need to play – trussss mi daddy.
These are basically all my favorite tracks from the past year and a bit, in all shapes, speeds, and colors… added some joints by me too.
I guess it’s kinda like a culmination of most of my previous gigs cause I dug through all those lists.
ALSO been getting preeeeeetttttttyyyy wavey this week picking out weird little things to pepper in throughout cause this mix is for your person’s ear buds that sit in their little ears.
P.S. I think I’m done my sophomore EP. I hope to tell you guys about it A$AP.
*I don’t know the producer of “1990”, don’t ask me.
