ITZSOWEEZEE Spotlight Series highlights the incredibly talented DJs and producers that make up the ITZSOWEEZEE ranks, as well as our extended music family. Each month, we deliver a fresh mix that reflects the diverse style and flavour of our crew. This is an opportunity to “meet” our selectors, enjoy some amazing free music, and understand why we command the respect that we do.
For the twentieth edition in the series, we’ve again turned to our friends in the Bedroomer camp and recruited up-and-coming Toronto DJ/producer Internet Daughter for a stellar guest mix. Internet Daughter is redefining what it means to be a female DJ in a male-dominated field, refusing to cater to the usual thirsty fanboys, and shaking up the competition with her own style and flavour. While she’s only been on the “scene” for a short while, she’s already made a name for herself by releasing a number of her own bass-heavy creations on SoundCloud. Most recently, she was featured on THUMP for “Runnin”, her collaboration with fellow Toronto producer Noahplause, which also served as their contribution to the Drake-sampling Bedroomer x Drizzy series (see all of the releases in our previous posts). For her Spotlight Series mix, Internet Daughter showcases the tracks that she’s been feeling of late, and provides a taste of her aggressive party-rocking method. This is a 45 minute affair that you don’t want to miss – trust.
People always ask me “What do you play?”, and it’s kind of hard to describe, so I put this mix together to show what I’ve been fucking with over the past year. My influences are all over the map and I wanted to share a few songs from each to give people an Idea of what they can expect when I DJ and where my own music is coming from.

This summer Skepta embarked on a sold out tour of East Coast America & Canada, culminating in a performance alongside Drake at the OVO fest in Toronto. Noisey were there throughout the trip to document this milestone in his career. What happened was very spiritual and very crunchy.
This Friday, November 20th, ITZSOWEEZEE’s own Soundbwoy and ΛV are connecting to bring you the first edition of BASHMENT. As the name implies, this is going to be a bashment party in it’s truest form, with two of our finest selectors bringing you the absolute best in reggae, dancehall, UKG, and grime vibes. Trust us when we tell you that the original Jamaican rude, Soundbwoy, has been itching for an opportunity to take it back to his roots and school everybody in what it means to be a dancehall king. Furthermore, ΛV, the man with the deepest crates in Toronto (don’t even try to test that claim – you will get dusted), is himself a reggae fiend who always manages to press play on new gems, as well as classics that have been long forgotten by the masses. This night has been a long time coming, and it promises to be the livest night in Toronto in a LONG time. If you aren’t there you’re going to be missing out on something legendary. So make sure you get to Dundas Video (831 Dundas St W, Toronto) EARLY, because the venue is small, the walls be dripping with sweat, and you don’t want to be left out in the cold while mans are catching bubbles on some criss tings.
Well we’re having a BASHMENT party so people come and feel the vibes. Wearing Gucci and Armani feeling rich like Wesley Snipes. Drinking crystal with my shorty, burning my dollars thru night. So we’re having a dancehall party, so let’s romp till morning light.
